7 Days anthology series

Pure Slush will launch its 7 Days anthology series in 2024.

The series will have 7 volumes: Monday Vol. 1, Tuesday Vol. 2, Wednesday Vol. 3, Thursday Vol. 4, Friday Vol. 5, Saturday Vol. 6 and Sunday Vol. 7.

Here’s the set-up …

Writers are asked to create submissions that all take place on the one day. So for Monday Vol. 1, for example, all the action must take place on the one Monday. Each subsequent volume in the series will be treated and structured similarly.

Submissions can be set in the past or the present, written in past tense or present tense.

This is a unique opportunity to contribute works taking characters across a whole week, whether prose or poetry, fiction or non-fiction.

Or alternately, to create unlinked works.

Submit to one … or a few … or many … or all.

 

Your submission must also be:

• original, so previously unpublished online or in print (so that includes authors’ websites and blogs)
• 150 word minimum limit for fiction and non-fiction, stories and essays / maximum 1000 words. (That’s for each story / essay: maximum number of prose pieces you can submit is 3.)
• 80 word minimum limit for poetry / maximum 1000 words. (That’s for each poem: maximum number of poems you can submit is 5.)

 

You must be minimum 18 years of age to submit.

PLEASE NOTE: if you submit more than one poem, story or essay, we really prefer they are all included on one document. So if you have 5 poems or 3 stories to submit, please include them on one document, and thus make one submission, rather than 5 submissions (one for each poem) or 3 submissions (one for each story).
